Weapons with multiple attacks per single button press are bad

I like arguing, especially against such brilliant ideas. It’s always amusing to read when people think their proposals are improvements. “Remove weapon animations that actually makes them different, because i cannot learn how to use them properly. Trust me, it will be an improvement!” :laughing:

Could you give me few names of such terrible weapons that literally cannot be used?

Yeah, im starting to think it was one of their bigger mistakes.

I guess you didn’t even read my post because I didn’t say to remove weapon animations, just not to assign multiple attacks to single button presses. I even said they could be just the same as they are and I’d be fine. It just gets in the way of the gameplay. So I think you just like to argue for the sake of it. Have fun.

I know. I meant weapon animations in terms of attack patterns, not actual 3D model animations, my bad. Splitting animations would require considerable amount of work and maybe doing some additional transitions would have been required.

Result would be a downgrade from current behavior. A lot of weapons would feel too similar, just different skin.

I agree with your viewpoint! The game control is not good. During the attack, I felt like my character had lost control and couldn’t stop. You stop pressing the button and cannot immediately stop him. Moreover, the coherence between attacking, dodging, parrying and using runes is poor. To use an inappropriate metaphor, it’s like a person eating, even if an earthquake occurs, he won’t stop and can only run away after finishing his meal.

Coincidentally, I just posted a post about “attack”. I hope developers can improve it.
