The prologue has 1-2 cinematics, but I completely forgot about them because when I create new characters/realms I never see those cinematics.
I think this needs some more consideration. It’s fine to let us skip the cinematics (yes please), but we should definitely be given that choice instead of the choice being made for us.
And I don’t mean to get that choice by playing the tutorial every time. I mean that we should be able to watch the cinematic when starting a new character straight onto the beach
I see what you mean, although I am 100% certain that if they implemented this there would be plenty of people complaining about how they have to skip a cutscene every time they start a new character.
Skipping cutscenes in subsequent playthroughs is the default in the industry, but I appreciate questioning default options. In this case I think it’s fine, especially since skipping it takes about 1.5 seconds
Yeah, I do think it would be ‘better’ if the cutscenes are played every time. Unfortunately those cutscenes only play when you actually play the prologue. If you skip the prologue in the first place they just never show. It might be better to just move them from the end of the prologue to right before the actual game start.
Although I do also understand why they have it the way it is now. The prologue does provide a certain degree of context to the cinematics.
