Revive echoes activating should be more prominent

It should really revive and not just set hp to max/25% whatever. Sometimes its even hard to tell if it was used or not during the fight. “Revive” should be a real revive, die and revive at the start of the room. Also if you got pushed of the ledge this perk is kinda useless, bcs its not “reviving”

I agree in the sense that there should be some obvious visual indicator that you died and revived. Though, I don’t think I would want reviving to move you to the start of the room. Just some animation indicating a revive.

ye or so… it just needs some more work rather than only reset hp

There is actually a visual indicator. A heart of the perk icon itself will show up under your hp bar, and dissolves after being used.
Revive not applicable for falling deaths.. well is that really a question? Hard to revive if your body is burned to a crisp or has fallen into a thousand pieces.

That said, if your suggestion more so is aiming at something like a full second of respite upon activating, that makes very much sense for me. Sometimes an attack will trigger your revive and the following one cut you down nonetheless, this has happened to me in rare cases, not often.

If the perk activates, a 1 second buff for fully negating any damage would be nice. If that is not the vision, maybe a knockback/stagger effect to any enemies closeby?

Sure, but that visual indicator is tiny and hard to look at in the heat of battle. I meant more like some animation for your character. Somewhat similar to what Boarcas is saying, you could be invincible for this animation.

talking about the revive perk i would like to suggest the ability to revive even when dying from a fall, i have died too many times falling out of the arena of Cyvion lookin at that perk and crying cuz it didnt proc

I was just doing a co-op Crucible run, and I had the echo Second Chance to revive after dying with 50% health. I accidentally jumped off a ledge because my character didn’t grab onto the ledge, therefore I plummeted to my death. I was expecting to respawn in the run on a proper ledge with 50% of my health, but low and behold I’m back outside of the run with no way back in because we were on the last level before the boss.

I don’t know if it’s intended to only work if you were slain by an enemy, but if I have an echo that REVIVES AFTER DEATH, I expect to stay in the run, not get kicked out of it.

A teammate and I had the same thought, but also wondered if it triggered at some point and we didn’t’ realize it… like perhaps there isn’t an affect or sound to signal that it was proc’d… in our case, we were fighting the echo knight so it was 100% possible in the chaos we just didn’t realize we had ‘died’.

In my case it works. There is no animation or sound. If you reached a level where it is triggered you are just immediately getting the 25% or 50% life. Like with the healing rune.

One time I was killed from the second attack of Echo Knight (slaming 3 times into the ground), got 25% life but the boss fight was not over and he attacked a third time. Again dead.
But a visual signal would be nice.

or get the revive health and be for 1-2 second immortal. So that I have time for repositioning.

I try to run crucible with my friend and we both have revive echo during a run but it not trigger for any of us when we are killed by crucible knight (This patch is hotfix 7 together)

Hi Reve,

You most likely triggered the revive either in the hit itself or right after.

There is no animation or grace-period after activating the echo, it will not let you die to the first instance of damage that sets you to 0 hp, but it can with a second instance.

If you still suspect it is not working, please ping me in this topic and I will move it back to the bug section! (in that case, if you could have a clip ready that would be great)

Revive Echo doesn’t seem to work in Crucible. Even with it equipped, I can’t revive—sometimes I have up to three stacks and still die instantly. Are they disabled on the hardest difficulty?

It’s just bugged. Before, you’d have the little heart icon under your character health bar to let you know the effect was active and hadn’t been triggered yet.

Currently there is no visualization or animation when this echo has triggered. With a lot of AoE going on, it can be hard to know that you died, and can assume your hp went back up because you have lifesteal/eating food.

Similar to WC3 reincarnation, can we have a short delay of us dying, then back to life, and a glow around us to signify that we were revived.

Thank you

No, i understand how the trigger work.
And it’s literally not working. Only the purple one with a statement revive with 100% health i see working
I suspect that maybe when i die, i only have 10% health left and with the revive 25%, it will be 10%+25% = 35% while the shooting orb from echo knight is 50% damage so I die instantly no matter what

It’s probably something to how the calculation works. But I’ve found that if an attack does enough damage, it just goes through the revive. Example; I have 25% HP, but the attack that hits me does 125% of my health in damage. It basically carries the damage over into the revive and kills you.

Ah I think you guys are right, but it’s not a technical defect. Feel free to give your feedback on it’s current form

I mean generally I think it’s a misleading perk and doesn’t function the way you’d expect it to function, which is a problem. Is it really strong? Yes. So make it rarer if that’s a problem, but if it’s going to exist, at least make it do what a reasonable person would expect.

That said, it’s hard to harp on the minutia of balancing when the combat and class system and being completely reworked.

If you can show this please do, but so far revives work as extra health. If you receive a big enough hit it will kill you regardless.

Submit a clip of this and I will move this topic back into the bug section post haste!
