I find that I don’t look at what I’m actually gathering anymore and only look at the UI gauge. It’s kind of immersion-breaking for me.
And I feel bad because you guys have top-tier environment designs, which the UI gauge does not fit with.
Instead, you could add an actual visual indicator for the player to hit their gathering button. For example, like the True Charge Slash with the Great Sword from the Monster Hunter series — when the sword flashes red, the player can release the button to hit the perfect timing. Something like the player’s axe flashing white, or fishes jumping up from the water. Things like this could improve immersion and lead the player’s eyes to the gathering objects instead of the UI gauge.
Or at least give us an option to turn it off. Thank you.
