Currently, the 2D map is highly ineffective for exploration due to its vertical orientation. It’s often unclear whether one is in a high or low area, especially in cities, leading to numerous aimless turns while trying to reach an NPC or a house marked on the map for sale. A 3D map with such a structured level design would be significantly more useful and user-friendly.
I view this as part of the challenge of exploring in the game, rather than a hindrance. Personally. Good feedback though!
