Interesting setup..
While I think Plague is 100% better (4 perks + 1 gem > 4 gems).. not everyone has the embers to fully customize a set of plague gear.
I’d personally like to see gear or perhaps the game itself favor more than just stats. Even the legendaries are outshined by plague gear due to the lackluster effects on them.

Hopefully these will change with time, I’m sure the combat update will have major changes involved.
I was hoping to show players with no plagued gear that it is possible to do everything in the game without fully specialized plagued gear and ton of embers.
