Elevator designs like the one in the Quarry- where there are two platforms that activate when you step on one, and one is always available- are more user-friendly than ones where you often have to pull a lever, wait for the elevator to come to you, pull the lever again and leap on before it leaves without you.
As a general rule I’d suggest using the two-platform design for elevators unless there’s a good reason not to, it’s just a nice bit of added convenience that doesn’t really otherwise change the game.
It’s a small thing, but still a nice bit of QoL.
some elevators are double elevators in another way, they are basically 2 platforms on top each other, so when sending the elevator up, you can wait and a platform will rise from below that u can then lower.
oof, hard to explain lol.
my point being: i like the elevator design in nameless pass, do think it won’t fit on every map/are tho.
but i thought about this as well. it would be more comfortable to have a button to step on, and a lever only to “call” the elevator if not there.
its a minor QoL thing. nice to have but not a must imo.
Yeah, I know the ones you mean.
Those were actually what I was thinking of when I said it’d be nice to have the two platform design “unless there’s a good reason not to”- those are one of the good reasons not to.
But it’s nice to having to wait for the elevator otherwise.
I guess they could always add the elevators from dark souls 1 from Blighttown, those were fun hehehe, always turning, easy to use, easy to die in.
On a more serious note i like the diferent mechanics, not everything should be the same, the nameless pass elevator is bigger too, wont fit on the town, at least not next to the rookery.
