[Implemented] QOL request- allow building projects and crafting stations to pull from chests/rookery

+1 Please add this, with how much we need storage and town upgrades, its a very nice QoL feature that feels noticeably absent

As the game progresses it becomes extremely tiresome to keep running back and forth from your chests to get what materials you want to use for crafting or upgrading, and I wish the vendors used materials that are in your chests instead of just what’s in your inventory. Inventory limits for cooking while exploring is understandable, but I feel like not having to run up and down the stairs just to grab a single item would be a great QOL feature

This should be in there from the beginning

Pls allow itens for construction and crafting to be pulled from storage²

Can’t for gods sake run back home every time I want to do something and I’m missing 1 item

I second this.. also it would make sense that the vendors could upgrade their respective armor types. It feels odd to go buy mats at the vendor then have to ask the blacksmith to sow me a new pair of gloves haha

Preach brother. We absolutely need this.

I agree this is absolutely needed. Having to go back and forth would make sense in a survival game, but this is an arpg.

It will be very nice if the stash tab in Sacrament will be considered part of inventory, so when you have to upgrade or craft something materials will be used directly from the stash, without go back and forth to get the materials needed. Anyway i like the game a lot

totaly agree and the stack limit should not be 20 it should be 999 or more for the chest aand maybe 30 or more in inventory

If it would only be weapons/gear like in most others arpgs or rpgs in general it wouldn’t matter much but the game has a big emphasis on crafting and gathering i avoid using the chest altogether currently because i dont want to walk to it every time i want to craft something

Go vendor/smith etc
Remember what i needed
Go to community chest
Fiddle around with inventory space
Go back to vendors/smith

Thats just not a fun gameplay loop and leads to me simple not collecting anything BUT the items i need for town upgrades or gear upgrades/crafting i want to do currently

Yes, let the vendors and townsfolk pull from the stash while we’re in town, that way we can store some of these materials and not have to do the above-mentioned gameplay loop.

I 100% agree that when crafting it will also be able to use what’s in your storage as well. Dragons Dogma 2 does this. It is indeed too tedious to run back and forth from storage when crafting.

i’d love to see some sort of universal storage access in the market, or just universal access to relevant materials for vendors

Co-sign this. Saves a lot of time when building armor and weapon sets.

I totally agree. For crafting weapon and armor i go the street 25 times, absurd

I think there can be fun with SOME inventory management. As-in if it’s forcing the player to go back to town and interact with certain elements that are also fun. Games like Monster Hunter do this and it works. You’re basically going on runs and coming back and resupplying/preparing for your next outing. The issue here is that there is no sense of preparing for your next outing nor does the game ackowledge your stash when crafting. I would say, “just do it like monster hunter”, but fundementally the game isn’t set up as hub based where you’re picking up missions and preparing your loadout for that mission. It could be… but it’s not.

All of that said I’ll leave it to the devs to figure out. There two clear answers on solution.
*allow menus when crafting to access stash. though I think this whole system needs a rework. and the devs kind of need to answer the question of what about this system makes the game fun. I suspect they have bigger plans for housing and it to feel quasi survivalish.
*as you said get rid of the stash all together and rethink the whole system

Since it wont let me edit my post anymore…

Edit 3: I have now acquired a house and have bought chests. I have about 3 chests and 2 wardrobes. Total storage is already about 90% full. It helps having the option to get chests but i will be having the same problem soon. Stack sizes need to be much higher like 100 or 999 or something. Also storage shared with vendors is still something i wish very much. I also think that the need for more storage comes way faster than the ability to buy a house

Totally agree. I think that an endless (or close to it) chest and a link between it and the city improvements will feel really comfortable in the game. The current state of those features makes me, first, navigate the same way an artificially high number of times and, second, leave resources on the map, which feels really out of place considering the amount of materials I need to improve the city. In the end, both problems are the same: don’t make me lose my time unjustifiably.

Yeah, I completely agree with this. If we take the time to haul stuff back to town and store it in either a community chest and/or housing chests, it should be able to pull from it. Having to run back and forth and literally calculate needs is a bit much in the time-wasting department, and that’s coming from someone that doesn’t mind a lot of the busywork, e.g. gathering, crafting, revisiting old areas, etc.

However this game is introducing survival mechanics to the ARPG. I think adding capacity to the community stash would help and making chests available for purchase early on would help the in town inventory.

And YES for the love of all that is good and true - let us access our stash at vendors and crafters!
