Since the together update the enemy scaling feels off, I don’t know if it was always like this but because you also gained exp from quests you were always bigger level than the minimum of the zone, but in this example the zone says Danger Level:25 and my character is 26, you can see that I can barely fill up the frozen status effect. Before triggering the last mission, the Zone was Danger Level: 22-23 (I think) and the status effect was easier to apply and the damage was higher as well.
Another issue, you will notice at 2:22 (link here to timestamp) in the video that I am using the multi shot and the target lock gets deactivated, and that’s not the only time I’ve seen that happening, it’s just an example, the target lock is very clunky with the bow, and it often gets disabled, or the auto target lock is switching between enemies randomly, I’ve never had these issues with a melee weapon.
Also I think that removing experience from quests was a bad change. It brought a boring experience grind that didn’t exist before.
Bows generally do less damage than other weapons, and they consume a lot of stamina, you are unable to maintain the status effect because you have low stamina.
In particular the bow you are using scales incredibly well with stamina, the stamina decreases and reduces the cost of stamina because it has a very high attack speed and the only thing that really stops you from attacking is just the stamina, it is so fast that you can make an attack in any situation and therefore the thing that is limiting you the most is that your build has little stamina and therefore little DPS.
Also the quiver doesn’t work well with fast bows like that, as it increases the stamina cost, also another bonus of the fast bows is that they get a lot of focus quickly and since the quiver doesn’t enhance the runes the synergy is even worse.
Try taking the infusion with a gem or facet instead of the quiver, and try to focus your build more on stamina.
In my opinion it’s a balance problem, this was the right decision.
Definitely getting bow locking issues. It seems to auto-engage any enemy when in the passive state and has gotten me killed when attempting some jumps. The target locking seems a lot stickier this patch and a lot less precise than the previous build.
Likely a symptom of a change that was made - we will have to wait on the coop hotfixes to cool down a bit.
Ok, so there isn’t a build I’m level 26, I am talking about the difference between a level 22 zone and a level 25 zone, and how is that difference affecting the status effect build up negatively with the same items and stats.
I am able to maintain the status effect in a level 22 zone versus elites or bosses for example, or in the Crucible, with the same items and stats, vs the last boss.
I started a new character specifically to try the new version of the game.
I have not felt this problem before the together patch, they definitely changed something in enemy scaling based on zone level.
The frozen status build up was just an example, as it happened that I was using that for the moment.
