Discord Streaming - Game Crash - 5090 FE + 9800X3D + 64 GB CL26 + 9100 Samsung + ASUS 870i

Easily to reproduce - and unsure what is causing the system crash as I am not getting any Error in Event Viewer
I am running DLSS Quality + Max settings at 4k (240 Hz Monitor) And in Window Borderless Mode

PC - - 5090 FE + 9800X3D + 64 GB CL26 + 9100 Samsung + ASUS 870i
Nvidia drivers 572.83

Following are what will happen (all within 3-5 minutes) - Currently fighting Warick and dying a bunch

  1. Game closes completely to desktop without any error
  2. Game Freeze and I need to hard close
  3. A couple times computer completely shutdown and rebooted

i am not an expert, but i only know or experienced this behavior in 2 scenarios:

  1. outdated drivers (usual suspects GPU, Audio)
  2. issues with the power supply.

did u check if all drivers are up to date? even the most stupid thing can cause this. i once had an outdated network driver on a network card i had still installed, but did not use. causes my PC to reboot and made me nuts lol

other than that, thanks for the report, i am sure the team will look intoit

This is a brand-new system. And I play every other game and stress test, runs fine

This seems very similar to an error in August where people had 5 minute crashes. I think something with streaming discord + playing the game is causing this

I mentioned the latest nvidia drivers and Im using a Corsair SF1000W its not a power supply issue.

Can reproduce this, even with fans on max entire time, and repasted AIO, the game consistently crashes and freezes to desktop (first) and then the second time I run the game it’s a hard crash and computer resets.

Will try turning off hardware encoding in discord

Seems like this might be related to the .dll that discord can inject into the game
