Critical: Mega delay in eating food

Every time I eat some food there is about a 1 second delay, even when my character is standing still with nothing going on. In my view, this is completely unacceptable gameplay. I understand delays if you use it mid-animation or mid-getting hit. But if you’re not doing anything but standing still or moving around, this should be instant or near instant. It should be extremely snappy.

How are you creating engaging combat when people have to constantly be mindful of a 1 second delay in case they need to heal? It’s not going to happen.

I guess it’s a bug, but if it’s a choice: please reconsider

Just to clarify: yes there is an eating animation (which in my view is way too slow by itself), but that animation doesn’t instantly start when you press the food button either.

Imagine you are fighting for your life and this is the pace you ingest your magical healing food. I eat my dinner faster than this Cerim eats life or death defining edibles :sweat_smile:
