description says it all. can’t use any fast travel at the moment on any character on any realm. not sure what caused it.
i was playing yesterday since the patch, and used whispers to fast travel - and it was fine.
if anybody knows a temporary fix please let me know
so far i’ve only tried verifying game files - did not work

Oof, sorry to hear that Hubristic!
Any mods you have installed that might interfere with Whispers?
Is teleport rune also affected?
Silas
it’s ok, i turned it into optimising resource routes on the way home lol.
later, after turning pc off for a while, the bug has gone, i can fast-travel again
turning machine off was the only thing that could’ve had an impact there perhaps ?
did not try the return rune
no mods
Good to hear!
If the issue returns, update here please
Silas
i still crash often, but now it seems it’s more:
first whisper used in the session, then force quit and reload game, and then fine
edit: got into another crash loop. only fixed when i powered off and restarted my PC. restarting steam didn’t work. validating game files didn’t work. steam shows nothing in the log
Alright in that case you can considered this topic escalated as of now.
Hope to see improvement for you in the future in whatever way!
Silas
Btw if you can pin point this some more, that would be very helpful I think for the team.
- Found any inconsistencies in Whisper per location? Differences between multiple Realms?
- Anything graphical you can try to influence the crashing rate?
Silas
the only thing i can think of is disable steam overlay and see if i ever get any more crashes
according to the crash log it was some UI thing
when it goes into a crashing loop, all whispers crash the same, all characters, all realms
when it’s just one crash it can be any whisper any character any realm : >
yeah i consistently am only able to clear this bug by restarting the pc. it must be some cache that only gets invalidated with machine restart. game/steam restart isn’t enough
i found a pattern: it’s almost guaranteed to crash (and crash every time thereon until i restart pc) if i click a new whisper i haven’t been to before and then immediately click fast travel before the new whisper registration animation finishes playing
