There’s a ledge where movement glitches, causing a repeated climb up/climb down in the alchemist cave. After you get the “sight” at the spot where you have to jump onto the roots to climb up (usually 2 mobs at the top), there’s a weird glitch where you climb up then your character will immediately start climbing back down.
I got out of it by rolling and trying to climb up on the far right side of the roots.
i play No rest for the Wicked on my pc on my steam account. i use a PS5 controller. and recently when I got to climb vine walls. when i get to the top my character get stuck in a loop where it keeps freezing up and then either stand there and fall down or it will just turn around and start climbing back down the vines. after about 20 minutes of doing this i will finally get lucky mashing button to get the character to either dodge roll or kinda jump and if i get lucky the character rolls to the next level i am trying to get to at the top of the vines and it breaks the cycle. but it takes forever and is extremely frustrating. Is anyone else having this issue? It seemed to start happening after their last update.
I have just experienced this bug too for the first time in about 280 hours.
Here is a visual aid:
I contributed to this thread instead of creating a new one in the assumption mine and MossySnipp have the same bug origin, from his description we might have different variants.
This thread will serve as Main for this bug for the foreseeable future.
@Chemile0n I decided to merge based on that this bug seems to be happening with vines in general, not location based (even though they get reported like that). Will be good to have them all in one place.
