Cannot upgrade Aetheric Forge — Gloamseeds consumed but no progress

Hi, I encountered a bug in No Rest for the Wicked. I’ve completed the full story and all Sacrament rebuilding projects. Now I’m trying to upgrade the final Aetheric Forge offering project.

I have enough Gloamseeds (79), but when I try to upgrade, it consumes 20 and resets to 0/20 again — without actually starting or completing the upgrade. It says “Time Needed: Instant”, and there’s no indication that something is in progress.

This seems like a progression-blocking bug, since everything else in the city is already fully upgraded.

I’ve attached screenshots showing:

  • All projects completed
  • The Aetheric Forge screen with the issue

Please let me know if there’s a workaround or if this is a known issue. Thanks!

I haven’t been able to find an answer for this. I am experiencing the same issue. I keep dumping gloamseeds into the project and it never updates. I have all the other projects completed. Also, can you unlock the higher floors? Going up the stairs there are a bunch of the sacrifice things, but none of them unlock.

This is not a bug. In the current state of the game that project will always instantly open again after completing it.

As for the Crucible additional wings, they are not accessible but will be in the future!

It’s used to skip the construction time of other projects, so since you might want to use it multiple times after you’ve used it, so it simply resets, it seems strange because at the moment there aren’t enough projects that require a lot of time but when the game is complete it will be more useful.
