I’m writing to ask for help with a mistake I made regarding the Early Access reward armor set (Cerim Set).
While managing my inventory during a full load, I accidentally discarded the Cerim Gloves. They didn’t have any enchantments at the time, so I didn’t realize it was part of the Cerim set — I was trying to make space to pick up another item and hit discard by mistake.
My Steam gamertag is:luizcrosas
I know the Early Access set can only be claimed once per account, and unfortunately, creating a new character doesn’t allow us to retrieve it again. I’d really appreciate it if you could help me recover just the gloves — I love this set and I’m really disappointed I can’t use the full outfit anymore because of one misclick.
Feedback / Suggestion:
Since this is a special reward item and we cannot sell it (which is great!), I’d like to suggest that you also add a block against discarding or destroying Early Access reward items like the Cerim Set.
It would be a small change that could prevent a lot of frustration — especially for players who are managing crowded inventories and might discard things unintentionally.
Thanks so much for your time and all the amazing work you’re doing on the game. I’m really enjoying No Rest for the Wicked so far, and I hope to be able to wear the full Cerim Set again soon
You can get it multiple times by creating a new realm and claiming it there. It can also just be researched at a scribe table and then crafted infinitely.
There’s an easy solution that can be implemented to fix this issue once and for all:
Any player should be able to lock and secure any item in the game by highlighting the item and hitting a single key (maybe R3 for consoles and something like “T” or “Alt” for M+KB). Once an item is locked, it can’t be sold, traded or destroyed unless it is unlocked by repeating the above process.
Also, there should be a gameplay option for “More Menu Prompts” which brings up an “Are you sure?” menu anytime an item is selected to be discarded, traded, sold, or unlocked. This would be an optional feature, but would serve as an additional failsafe incase someone accidently selects an item to be destroyed/sold. There could even be a slider under this gameplay option that gives a timeout window (1 to 5 seconds, for example) so that a person can’taccidentally double-click a confirmation and destroy their item.
Locking/favoriting items is a key feature of loot-based games, because the players are expected to routinely engage in an item economy which requires them to spend a lot of time playing around with destructive menu processes : buying, selling, trading, upgrading, combining, trashing, etc.
That a feature like locking/favoriting items isn’t already included in the game is mindboggling, to be honest. It makes me afraid to even enter the “Sell” menu at stores, since there’s no “buyback” option and you’re only one click away from accidently selling an item you’ve spent hours grinding to find and refine.
