Wind of Death * multiple enemies

i think Wind of Death should apply the HP cost once per attack, not once per enemy.

the current way it’s impossible to fight crowds without one-shotting one self.

my favourite weapon. but if i play it i have to carry a backup AoE weapon. i would prefer to just stick to my favourite D :

Cant you counter it with lifesteal? I mean never played the sword so far but thinking make a build on it after the patch

it takes the HP cost before returning the lifesteal. so if you do a sweep attack on a bunch of enemies, even if you hit for 5-6k total, you will still spend a moment on 1 HP during which something very tiny will probably kill you

Oh like using rod or bcr but for basic attacks which sound good actually always have to be aware of your attacks and just use runes for multiple enemies no?

runes also take the cost of HP. so if you rune-nuke a bunch of enemies together, you’re sitting at 1 HP : >

i also thought it wasn’t so bad before i had to fight packs of enemies in the winged boss or in pestilence.

Oh dang so it also adds extra cost to the rings jeesh sounds like hardcore plus gameplay and I think I wanna make a build around it even more now lol

yea it’s supa cool. but it totally kills you if you try to fight multiple enemies D : i’m curious to see your build, leme know once you have it

I have my fair share of offing myself with this weapon. It’s one of my favourite weapons as well and yes, it can be very costly for our puny health bar given the power it provides hahaha!

talking about it makes me wanna build a new character for wind of death. and die a whole lot.

to be fair last time i used it, i had a black pearl in it and was permanently on low HP, so that each attack was costing 10%. maybe it’s not that bad without the black pearl and more HP sustain ?

has anyone tried that VS groups and survived to tell the tale ?

I put lifesteal gem on it and its decent but I should try it with another character with barrier sustain next time; using barriers to tank the damage might be another option.

There’s a reason games put diminishing returns on these stats for these situations.
