Great observations all around, thank you for pointing them out!
Basically agree 100% with every point.
To follow that tangent a bit, I agree completely that playstyles should be accessable (not only magic) earlier in the game. Currently it can take a long time and/or favorable RNG to get specific builds going. Hopefully the Talenttree and possibly starting Talents can help with that.
Wicked sadly hasn’t even come close. The build ups, emotional tension and clear leitmotif are missing for me. The OST seems much more generic and ambient. But that is just my pov and I can very well see this being intended, to some extend. Wicked is a pretty different style of game after all.
Ah thanks for the info, I assumed that was what the danger level meant, but a small popup would still be nice. I did see some of these were brought up, I’ll upvote those, just wanted to post my own experience so far
there are details on primary stats and nothing else at all. I have zero context what makes any piece of gear good or bad. What do these icons even mean? I think one of these is poise because it showed me during a tutorial
I’ve just spent an hour trying to figure out what the stats are to the right of the weapon/armor damage/defence numbers. There is absolutely 0 way to know unless you FINALLY discover a tucked away forum post where someone somehow figured it out. The runes in the shop, there no way to know exactly what any of them do until you just get them. It’s crazy the amount of, “meh, we know what it means, so what if nobody else does.” There is in this game.
Taken from Path of Exile, I would love to see an option to hold a key to see “Advanced Mod Descriptions” when hovering over an item to see what the rolls could’ve been. For example:
Please look at last epoch for example and see how they’re doing their tooltips. If you want people to craft gear then they at leats need to know anything about what their working with. Rune descriptions are weak at best. 0 information about scaling abilities, weapons and so on.
I’ve been searchign the web for an hour and cannot find out how for example heat enchantment (Rune) and cold infusion(enchantment on item roll) scale or if they work simulatinously. old videos said u can have multiple enchantments at the same time but if i use heat enchantment rune ona weapon that rolles cold infusion it doesnt work (0 numerical difference in damage). i had to waste tons of materials and time to be weaker at the end. this is frustrating. I am not even going do play a lot of end game since i dont want to experiment all my gold and materials away just to see wheter something work or not. this is ridiculous.
I would like to give feedback on more detail stats page.
Purpose of this feedback is to give better understanding on how player gauge themselves and the enemies.
You guys may in the future develop enemies that is resistance to certain type of damage. Having these info is really motivating.
Stats Page that showing total of:
Weapon damage
Lightning damage
Plague damage
Ice damage
Fire damage
Burn up damage
Frozen (on break) damage
Bleed damage
Percentage of Critical chance
Percentage of Critical damage
Percentage of lifesteal
Health regeneration
Health regeneration on combat
Healing increase
Focus regeneration
Focus gain (sum also from armors)
Percentage of retainable health
Percentage of barrier gain
Percentage xxx based on durability
Those stats not limited to above and can change base if certain buff active such as +50% enhancements on focus full.
Nice to have stats info for effects coming from gems or conditional actions such as total of:
Damage on parry
Focus gain on parry
Barrier gain on parry
Etc on parry
Etc on kill
Etc on backstab
Etc on low health
Etc on full health
Etc on full focus
Etc on low health
Etc on etc.
I also attached a pic from another game (with all due respect, this is only for reference without any Ill intent, which I believe one or more wicked teams also know the game).
I’m a newcomer in the community, been enjoying this game for the past 2 weeks with some friends and I love it. The visuals, the animation during combat!! And I am really curious to see where the story goes.
Of course, the game being in early access, I have witnessed some bugs and softlocks, but it seems to be/have been discussed already. Nothing game-breaking for me so far, yet I have thoughts on the equipment and items info display in the inventory.
When you hover over a piece of equipment, you have no option to get more details on: the runes that are equipped on it, the meaning of some enchantments or gems. Sometimes, you cannot read the entire description of the item and the stats it requires because the infotip is too big, and you can’t scroll on it. (see picture for example)
As a main spellcaster, I would love to be able to see the spells/runes before adding them to my wands. A little animation when hovering over them in Eleanor’s shop would be a great addition, so you could really cater to the playstyle you want. Some spells/runes are more suited for melee range, others for distance, and not knowing beforehand can make your whole weapon build feel frustrating.
That’s all for me so far. Again, I love the game, and this is just a suggestion to make it more user-friendly.
I’d love for the gems to at least give their name when they are equipped on a weapon or gear. Having to go to my base and decipher the images with what I have to determine what gems are on the gear, then try to remember that to go remove the right one…
shakes head to wake up from fever dream
Yeah, there needs to be more/better info on the gems and enchantments that can be seen at a glance.
I’m not sure how feasible that would be, but imagine if there’s a chamber next to the enchantress where you walk in and can watch some sort of a cerim ghost perform the rune attacks (with a list of all runes in the game on one side of the screen). It’d fit the game much better than watching a video in some menu
Currently, runes aren’t listed in the interface when crafting or examining items, which is inconvenient. Sometimes we’re looking for a specific rune, and it would be helpful if this information were immediately available. Currently, this information is missing:
There are a lot of different icons and keywords in the game, and it would be extremely helpful to be able to select them to get more detailed information, a la Path of Exile 2, Pyre, and other game’s expanding tooltips (see below for example), or at least a more extensive glossary for reference.
