Hello, I’ve been full machine freeze crashes for a while now, but with the new update (The Breach Hotfix #4) I decided to post a report, after finally seeing a link showing HOW to report. You really need to have an easier way to let us help you, btw. But anyway. The crashes are **random** , with sometimes nothing happening for hours, and last time the crash happening after a few minutes. No specific area, no specific activity (sometime in menu, sometime just walking around, none during cinematics so far), **no reproducibilty**. One thing that’s constant is that **the sound will keep running**. For a good long while too. Never tried to see how long, but music will keep playing flawlessly, ambient sounds playing too. But everything else is frozen. Graphics do not move. Keyboard unresponsive, no Alt+tabbing, no Alt+Ctrl+Deleting, nothing. I need to **hard reboot every single time**. This has happened in other games, and as a consequence I’ve been investigating for months but no sugar ! This is not all games, and really seem to vary, although I can’t see how. Like, Ass Creed Odyssey was fine for dozens upon dozens of hours, till Fate of Atlantis nearly made me give up on the game. Then Valhalla is absolutely fine with almost no crashes. Kingdom Come (first one) has been rather atrocious. Clair Obscur hasn’t crashed yet. 2D games never seem to crash. So I’m guessing something funky in my full AMD setup, but I can’t pinpoint it… I’ve tried all sorts of experiments with settings, drivers, file checks, memory checks, disabling AMD stuff, enabling it, lowering specs to minimum, nothing _obvious_ shows up. What I need is freaking logs and mem dumps (I’m a dev, logs are my daily bread and butter) and you guys are the first in a while who do have some, so here goes ! For what it’s worth, I just had 3 files not validate so I hope that was something as stupid, but I’ll link to my dumpfiles anyway. Thank you for taking the time to check things out. To be clear, there were a few dozen crashdumps dating back to march when I got the game, in the reports folder. But since this is a big update, and I just got the latest hot fix, I feared it wouldn’t be very pertinent to send old stuff. I will update as I inevitably get more crashes. ---

You could try turning off hardware acceleration in your browser. It has caused many freezes & crashes in some games.😅 It usually happens when I’m alt+tabbing but also randomly when I’m just playing the game. ---

Thanks for the suggestion. For the record I’ve turning off as much as I can outside of the game by default 🙂 After fixing the 3 corrupted files I have not had a freeze crash… so far. I just crashed to desktop when entering Nameless Pass so we’ll see how things evolve. ---

OK so i’m not sure what the policy is on replying to oneself, but since this is a day off I played quite a bit and at some I decided to leave the game running while I took a break. So no activity, right ? Except there is definitely a leak because the game ended up freezing again, with the background music playing fine, for maybe a good hour. Reboot needed once again. Oh yeah, I hope you don’t think I gave up on the game, but it’s in EA and it clearly needed more time in the oven. I was just waiting for a big update to come to have an excuse to start it up again and that sounds like the time is nigh upon us ! 🙂 ---
