After the Together patch today, I can no longer select 1920x1080 from the list of resolutions.
It’s not even in the list, as if the screens not supporting it or something, which is not the case, and can go up to 4k if needed, but the 1080p is completely gone from the list.
I was using it for the co-op beta, and for the previously live build, but since today, it’s no longer in the list of resolutions.
I already did a re-check of the file integrity from Steam, and rebooted my system.
I tried different Proton versions on my SteamOS/Linux system, but this didn’t helped either.
Can you post a snippet Evil1nside?
I can verify nothing is broken on PC ![]()
I’m very curious however what you see!
Silas
It appeared again after restart? ^^
Silas
Yes, it appears after restart, check file integrity, whatever anyone might think of.
HOWEVER…
I found a solution, and I will try to explain as best as I can for what’s actually happening.
When you launch the game from Linux, using any Proton version, or any Linux runtime version, doesn’t mater at all, the game “thinks” it’s running on a SteamDeck(handheld device) which out of the box does not have a support for 1920x1080 on its build in screen.
-Pretty sure you can already see where this is going… ![]()
So, what needs to happen, is for us to “tell” the game “hay, that’s NOT a SteamDeck” by typing the following command in the launch options of the game in Steam.
Go to the game “Properties > General” and there should be a blank field down below which say “Launch options”
You need to type there, the following command without the brackets.
(SteamDeck=0 %command%)
Should look like that:
If the above does not resolve the issue, try with ProtonGE, and it should work just fine.

I have escalated this Evil1nside, thank you for the comprehensive report!

I can confirm that I am also getting this issue. Unfortunately, Evil1nside’s suggested launch command did not work at getting any additional resolution options. The highest I can go is 1920x800, which leaves large black bars on the top and bottom.
Please double check for typos, or any spaces before or after the command.
I tested this on 3 Linux systems and it works on them.
Please post an image of how the launch options looks on your device.
If everything is good, also try with a different Proton version too.
Also, what is the type of device an OS you’re trying it on?
The more details you provide, the better the chances of resolving the issues.
Hi, can confirm that Evil1nside’s hack worked for me on a Desktop installation of SteamOS, so I can corroborate the hint that this is an issue with Linux/Proton/Steamdeck
Since the Together update the 1920x1200 resolution is no longer an option in the game, highest it’ll go is 1920x800 for the Legion Go S SteamOS. I am not a fan of AI upscaling as it washes out the game’s details and sharpness. The Legion Go S FSR and Z1Extreme is able to play at it’s native resolution no problem.
I’ve tried setting the command SteamDeck=0 in steamOS, but no avail. Is there anyway to get 1920x1200 back by settings, or am I stuck with it until the developers decide otherwise?
Thanks!
Have you tried actually setting the Resolution to 1920x1200 in the Steam Properties, and enabling the toggle that says use it for internal and external display?
When you have it set to “Default”, the system will guess a resolution closest to the machine display while using a ratio relevant to the display it’s launching on. But sometimes certain factor’s might affect the sourcing of that information.
Explicitly defining a resolution in Steam Properties should force up to that resolution to be available to the app/game for rendering.
Hello and yes, that was my first steps before I attempted the SteamDeck=0 command.
And you can confirm you also used the toggle I mentioned? Not just selected a resolution?
In addition, there is also an override in the system settings, which controls what “Default” inherits if not the behavior I mentioned in my previous comment.
The “Default” setting in this dropdown means the behavior is as I previously mentioned. If a res is selected here though, it will use that whenever you select “Default” in the Steam Properties.
So it’s a way to change to a set res globally instead of having to manually do it in each game.
Yes - 1920x1200 is set in the Display Global system settings along with Game specific resolution setting set to 1920x1200 and the set resolution for internal and external display toggle on. I have those set for all my games globally.
I’ve even tried reinstalling the game, but no avail as well.
Regards.
That’s really weird then. I cannot imagine what else it may be.
Are other 16:10 ratios available?
Also, set it to a 4k resolution in the properties, and see if resolutions higher are visible or not in the game menu. This is to discern if it’s how high the res is, or the ratio that is the potential issue.
Yes - 1280x800, 1152x720x 960x600 and so downwards. Highest resolution is 1920x800 only. I am very puzzled as well as it was working just fine before the together update. Hoping nothing during the patch caused it to break - would love it if someone else here with a SteamOS legion Go can check as well that would hopefully have a wider test group.
Damn; almost out of ideas.
Last thoughts would be desktop mode, if you haven’t tried it already, and trying a few different proton compatibility layers (like Experimental, Hotfix, or the Proton-GE variants).
Also, if you haven’t you should try your Q on the NrftW subreddit, as there may have more eyes on it.
This solves it for me.
SteamDeck=0 %command%
Thank you for the responses Ganthrithor - I will check to see if anyone else is having the issue there.
@Evil1nside I did try that as well, but didn’t work for me unfortunately. All my other games run nativley at 1920x1200 - so it leaves me to believe that it’s the clientside?
Thank you for your response as well!
