Ignorant Enemy Pathing

Enemies have difficulty getting to the player character across bridges, doorways and terrain irregularities. This becomes most noticeable in the sewers and gets worse in the Nameless Path and on. A playthrough using ranged attacks makes the game very easy because many enemies will end up just standing there taking hits from afar even when there is nothing visible blocking their way.

This isn’t an issue in a game like Dark Souls because the enemies also have an internal avoid or flee mechanic when hit by ranged attacks if unable to get to the player.
