Here's how I would improve the game

Just finished the game. Here’s my feedback.

The good:

The game is amazing. Multiplayer is awesome. Loved exploration being heavily rewarded, loved the project system and the crafting. There’s an exorbitant amount of depth and beauty to this game and it’s clear to me that the game is truly a labor of love.

Attributes are awesome, I love choosing which attributes to level up. Don’t remove it.

The bad:

Lacquered bow - needs to be removed or heavily nerfed. 4 homing, insanely long-ranged missiles is insane and made the entire game trivial, including crucible and all content. Make the range much shorter or perhaps just 1 homing missile? The ele damage from this thing is nuts if you use rune infuse.

Players shouldn’t have to make multiple realms in order to expedite shop rotations / farming.

Bounties are also not rewarding enough at endgame.

There’s no party buff runes, I want to make my friends stronger.

Thorns is garbage. Damage dealt on block is significantly stronger. Thorns should reflect pre-mitigated monster damage or something. It needs tweaking to feel fun.

Some trash mobs have knockdown abilities that override poise - being lvl 30 in full plate and getting knocked down by a brine vault mob is hilariously dumb. Obviously some grapple abilities make sense to override poise but there’s some really silly ones that knock you down when it feels like full plate + shield should protect you.

I want to spend more time on the game but I literally can’t because the endgame is awful. I love the echo knight fight but killing echo knight 500 times is really boring. Players should be able to improve the difficulty and rewards of crucible, hopefully with new bosses / deeper levels. My friends and I thought that the other pedestals within the crucible atrium actually gave access to additional crucible levels / difficulties / bosses. Sadly, they don’t. Severely disappointing that such a fun mode is sooooo limited right now.

Also wtf why am I level locked? If I want to get to level 250 off of lvl 30 mobs, just let me do it?

Endgame content is lacking (obviously).

I put more bad than good because it’s supposed to be feedback, however I did love the game, it’s a 8.5/10 for me and will be looking forward to the next parts. Until more content is released, I’ll be moving on. Thanks for the fun 45hrs!

I agree with that, the game is wonderful, elden ring fused with diablo, many builds possible but…

ranged builds definitely break the game. wands and staves skills have some x1000% dmgs according to the wiki, when close combat skills dont. Go mage or archer and you just OS everything breaking the fun of a soul like game, making useless and not as fastly rewarding any close combat build sadly.

according to builds, the ones relying on durability items with 100% enchant power gems with a low hp build is just the best meta atm and that’s sad, also kills the point of using any other armor than plate according to me.

lacks endgame content and multiplayer fun content, not enough loots when multiplaying, not enough difficulty. bosses shouldnt be easily one shotted when multiplaying, even with a decent build.

agree with most things except the knock down and the level lock.

Every knockdown is highly telegraphed, im in full plate and i think ive gotten hit by maybe 3 knock downs after level 20? Any easier and there wouldn’t be much of a use for dodge if you are in heavy plate since im sitting at 75% to all resistances without using any of the cheese stats.

End game in every Souls game is PvP or NG+ (what else is there?). i really love the idea that the level is locked, makes/forces pvp community to only one level type. i always got annoyed that i didnt know what level to take a character because i didnt know which community level would have more players.

i guess if they allow for NG+ you can go beyond the level cap, but PVP is only limited to level 30 players. (Horrid solution but you get the direction)
