It’s kinda weird to me, that faders only trigger, when they cover the player instead of enabling a peek into whats ahead.
I don’t know how you solved this right now, but maybe put a frustum collider on the camera that just reaches up UNTIL or a bit before the character, with maybe a smaller diameter than the actual camera frustum?
It doesn’t need much tweaking i just need a couple of meters distance to the character to not feel awful
