When I create a server and I want to share it with friends it says that I have to be online for it to work, I thought it worked regardless I was online or not. In other words, I thought it worked for all my friends no matter If I am playing or not.
What should I do? Thanks

What happens if you click continue? Do you arrive at a screen where you have to invite your friends?

Yes, that is not the issue, the issue is that it says that I have to be online all the time if they want to play in that realm.
You dont have to be 
Just for the invite people need to be, afterwards you can play independantly from eachother.
